The Hong Kong Council of Early Childhood Education and Services (CECES) is a professional, non-profit organization. Founded in 1982, CECES work continues to develop informal education and improve the education, health and welfare of children. Over 200,000 families are reached each year through regular direct services, community health and environmental programmes, nutrition consultation services, English teaching programmes, teachers’ training programmes and many other school activities.
Founder of CECES, Ms. Sansan Ching believes informal education takes place all the time in a person's life. The possibilities for learning are immeasurable and can be the most inspiring aspect of living. Students gain knowledge while they talk with friends, go on picnics, watch movies, surf the net, read for pleasure, and even when they help with the housework. Casual learning under relaxed situations can the most effective form of education once the mind is open to it. CECES is dedicated to provide new and innovative ways of education.
